Research and Development Activities

ATC is active in R&D activities since 1990. Research Activities co-ordinated by the Consulting Unit span across all Production Units of the Company, focusing on enriching existing technology assets in order to improve the product/services mix offered and the introduction of new technologies in the whole Company.

Strategic sectors include: The Banking and Financial Services Industry; the retail sector; the Textile Sector, the Media, Publishing and Leisure Sectors and the Public Administration

Technologies currently explored include: GRID technologies; Trust, Security and Dependability; Service Oriented Architectures; Co-operative Platforms, Mobile solutions; Search technologies and Mobile extensions for Networked Media; e-Gov and e-Participation; Interoperability.


Consulting Services

Consulting Services also span across all activities of the Company. Particular focus has been given in Project, Consortium and Programme Management, as well as IT strategy, e-Government, Human Capital Management.

Particular focus is given to Business Process Modelling (BPM) and Re-engineering (BPR) where ATC has signed a Partnership Agreement with the BOC Group, providing Services in BPR and BPM . The key sectors addressed are the same where other ATC activities focus, namely Banking, the Media, Retail and the Public sector. The ATC - BOC proposition is comprehensive and involves the use ADONIS, of a State of the Art tool for modelling processes.
